Beautiful Piano Sounds For Many Musical Styles
Whether you want to play traditional classical pieces, contemporary pop, or jazz, the CLP745 is sure to have a piano sound to suit your chosen style. In addition to the Yamaha CFX and Bosendorfer concert grand piano tones, the CLP745 is equipped with pop and jazz tone variations for contemporary music, as well as a vienna 'Water Piano' designed for playing Mozart compositions and a Pleyel piano voice for Chopin performances.
There are of course many other sounds from which to choose including e,pianos, harpsichords, classical & jazz organs, strings, choirs, tuned percussion and more. It's even possible to adjust the sound to the environment in which the piano is situated using the EQ tone controls.
Grand Touch S Keyboard
Just as important as the sound, is the 'touch' of the keyboard. The CLP745 features Yamaha's newly designed Grand Touch S keyboard with wooden components. This new keybed has a difference in fulcrum position between white & black keys and offers greater expressive control soft to loud. Synthetic Ivory white keys and synthetic ebony black keys add to an already satisfying piano experience. The overall feel of the CLP745's keybed is based on that of a small baby grand piano.
Metronome & Drum Rhythms
Practice your timing using the built-=in metronome feature, or have some fun experimenting with the many rhythm styles - all with an automatic bass track which follows your playing.
Record Your Performance!
The onboard recording feature allows you to record your performance either as MIDI data for subsequent editing using a computer, or as an audio file which can be shared online.
Grand Expression Modelling
The many parts of an acoustic piano action, strings and soundboard combine and interact with each other to respond to every nuance of the performer's technique. This is the limitless expression which players feel when performing on an acoustic piano and Yamaha has used advanced technology known as Grand Expression Modeling to simulate the interaction of the various components which results in a greater level of expressiveness than ever before. Grand Expression Modelling is a new feature for the CLP700 series instruments.
Virtual Resonance Modelling
The sound of a grand piano resonates throughout the body of the instrument, providing a rich reverberation that surrounds the listener in sound. This natural reverberation is replicated perfectly in the CLP745 Clavinova through Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), which calculates the various states of the strings for each of the 88 notes on the keyboard from one instant to next. This allows for the vivid, richly-varied expression that reflects the limitless number of factors inherent in playing the piano.
