The Ibanez Bass Workshop UB805-MOB Upswing Mahogany Oil Burst expands the Bass Workshop series of the innovative company from Japan and a versatile electric upright Bass with five strings. Thanks to the authentic neck profile and the innovative pickup system, the neck-through UB805 offers the authentic feel and sound of a full-grown double bass, with the low B-string providing additional room for creativity. High-quality Hardware and the included Custom stand from Tama also make the Bass Workshop UB805 Upswing Bass a professional companion for stage and recording studio.

Neck-through construction with authentic double bass feeling

To get as close as possible to the playing feel of a full-grown double bass, Ibanez relies on an elaborate neck-through construction for the Bass Workshop UB805 Electric Upright Bass. The heart of the Bass is undoubtedly the full-length maple and walnut neckand the long 34" scale length (864 mm), which guarantee a clean string response for both arco and pizzicato playing. The strong and rounded "UB5" neck profile and the tight compound radius of the jatoba fingerboard also convey the authentic playing characteristics of a classic double bass. The small dot inlays also turn out to be a practical detail, with the help of which a clean intonation succeeds.

While the side Volume and Tone controls allow you to adjust the general sound, the piezo pickups of the active AeroSilk system are located in the mono-rail bridges.
