I did a lot of research before selecting this piece. And it is perfect for a dabbler like me (electric guitar is my main instrument). Very verstatile PJ pickup configuration, Yamaha quality, passive (no need to worry about batteries), light, sturdy, ready to rock! The sunburst color is particularly nice too. Highly recommend this for beginner/intermediate bassists, especially those looking for something that they won't need to throw away in 2 years!
