The Gibson SG Special Electric Guitar is constructed using Gibson’s signature tonewood combinations. With a Mahogany body, you can expect focused lows and a rich mid-range attack, despite the SG's thin design.

Paired with a set Mahogany neck, this long-established type of construction gives the Gibson SG Special Electric Guitar fantastic sustain and warmth. Adorned with a silky smooth Rosewood fingerboard, you can effortlessly glide up and down the Slim Taper neck profile.

Sound

SG guitars are usually powered by humbuckers, but the SG Special is loaded with a double-dose of P90s. These pickups deliver a strong fat mid-range with far more bark and potency than their dual-coil counterparts, making them more articulate-sounding with both clean and overdriven tones.

Hardware

It’s equipped with a super comfortable compensated wraparound bridge with chrome plating to extend its lifetime before rust sets in. The Graph Tech nut ensures excellent sound transfer and tuning capabilities.
