The roasted maple neck offers excellent stability and a smooth playing feel, while the rosewood fretboard adds warmth and focus to the overall response.
An alder body provides a well-balanced tonal foundation with clear attack and controlled sustain, pairing naturally with the Delta S4J pickups and Sonitech S preamp. With flexible mid-frequency selection and an EQ bypass switch, the versatile and intuitive MDM1000 allows you to make fast tonal changes on the fly. Finished in Midnight Ocean Arctic Matte and supplied with a fitted gig bag, it delivers modern functionality with a comfortable, familiar playing experience.

The Mode series represents Ibanez’s contemporary take on a classic bass concept, designed to feel instantly familiar while offering meaningful modern updates. The MDM1000 retains traditional balance, proportions and ergonomics that many players are comfortable with, making it easy to adapt to straight away. At the same time, refined hardware and updated electronics provide improved control, reliability and tonal flexibility. The roasted maple neck is heat-treated to improve durability, moisture resistance and long-term stability, helping it remain consistent across changing environments, rehearsal spaces and stage conditions. Paired with a rosewood fretboard, the MDM1000 delivers a warm, focused midrange with smooth attack and controlled response. The alder body adds clarity and sustain, creating a balanced tonal character that works well across different genres, playing techniques and amplification setups.

Flexible electronics for modern versatility

Delta S4J pickups provide punchy lows, clearly defined mids and crisp high frequencies, making them suitable for both live performance and studio recording. The Sonitech S preamp adds a responsive three-band EQ with dual mid-range banks, allowing players to fine-tune their sound for different rooms, mixes or musical styles. A passive tone option and EQ bypass switch further increase flexibility, making it easy to move between modern active tones and a more natural, traditional passive-style response.

Ibanez Aero-light machine heads reduce overall headstock weight, improving balance and helping minimise fatigue during longer rehearsals and performances.
